BACHMANN PROVIDES CHOICE: PROVEN LEADERSHIP

Greetings! Welcome to Political Review, my first ever blog. This past October 2007, I decided to contribute to my vision of how I would run things if I had the chance. The truth is, as Americans we all have a chance to make a difference. Either by becoming a candidate yourself, or by getting out and voting.
In Memory of my mother, Diane, Dee Dee Bachmann, who lost her fight against Breast Cancer October 16, 2006. I dedicate my Campaign to: Breast Cancer Awareness and to all those batteling cancer at this time. I am a cancer survivor since 2002. May God Bless Each and Everyone who has been touched by this disease. Together we can win this fight. The color of the Bachmann Campaign for McHenry County Coroner is Pink. Money left over from my campaign, will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Please send me your story of survival at the address listed below. I am inspired by the strength of the human spirit, and would like to share your story of courage and hope. For information regarding the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, you may link to: http://www.cancerscreening.illinois.gov/ , or call the Illinois Department of Public Healths Womens Health Line at 1-888-522-1282. I am running in 2008 for the office of McHenry County Coroner. This particular office has gone unchallenged by any qualified candidate for 20 plus years, until now. Our current coroner has held office since 1988.
I believe I represent the future of McHenry County Illinois. We have a vastly diverse populous which I am eminently qualified to serve. I have most recently returned from living in Mexico, where I worked with the Mexican Department of Justice. I have lived and studied my profession worldwide.
Additionally, I am very well versed about McHenry County past and present. I am a 1978 graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School. In 1987, I built and operated "Bachmann Funeral Home" in Crystal Lake. I had sold the business in 1991 which now operates under the name Skaja-Bachmann Funeral Home. The fact that the Bachmann name remains on the business some 16 years after I had sold my company, makes a very positive statement about its beginning and my legacy as a caregiver in McHenry County. Additionally, I have served as President of the Crystal Lake Kiwanis, Board Member of Crime Stoppers, Special Gifts Chairman American Heart Association, volunteer, host, speaker and educator for Hospice of N. Illinois, Funeral Service Educator within Bachmann Funeral Home, as host to McHenry County Colleges class on Death and Dying.
I am a board certified licensed Mortician in the State of Illinois, and have been in the past, board certified by the states of Florida and California. I graduated in 1981 from the Worsham College of Mortuary Sciences. Worsham is the Premier Mortuary College in the United States as well as the oldest and most respected. My education includes: Pathology, Microbiology, Organic, Inorganic and Bio-Chemistry, Anatomy, Anatomy Dissection, Embalming and Restorative Art. I studied under one of the worlds most respected Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Robert Stein. My first introduction to Forensic Investigations was on Christmas Eve, 1978 at the home of Serial Mass Murderer John Wayne Gacy. In late 1991, I formed a new Florida Corporation, Bachmann Group International. Subsidiaries of the corporation were, American Family Cremation Consultants, a store front, low cost cremation company, and Custom Craft Urn Company. These companies were formed with the foresight that Funeral Service was changing with a substantial number of families choosing cremation over traditional burial practices. This company was successfully spun off and bifurcated as individual entities. After this period, I spent much of my time, acting as a teacher to funeral service interns in the preparation of human remains. I also studied and gave of my time worldwide educating those countries less fortunate than our beautiful United States. After being diagnosed in 2002 with cancer, I choose a highly aggressive form of therapy. I spent 2 years recovering at my beautiful home in Jackson Hole Wyoming. I am happy to state, I am completely healthy and just past my 5th year, cancer free! This experience certainly provided a life experience that can only serve to enhance my understanding of others suffering. After this recovery, I headed to the beautiful country of Mexico, along with my Mexican born wife. I served as the " chief embalmer of state".
I am proud of my charity work, and, as provided by the Chief Justice of Tlaxcala, Mexico, I possess an open letter of invitation to practice and teach funeral service-embalming to the Mexican Directors of Medical Examiners. I have served thousands of grieving families nationwide as well as in Mexico. I have lived within and studied the burial practices of European, Asian and Middle Eastern cultures. Additionally, I operated the nations largest human remains worldwide shipping company sending over 500 human remains annually, internationally. My career as a Funeral Director-Embalmer spans 30 years.
I believe the Coroner's office represents each and every skill I have proven to possess. That is, "Being a caretaker of the dead, and as caregiver to those left to grieve".
I believe in human and civil rights for all McHenry County residents, irregardless of national origin. It is my promise of office, that all residents will be treated with dignity and respect with all the protections and rights under our laws. I will also work to educate all immigrants regarding our laws and advocate that our laws must be adhered to. This can only be achieved through open dialogue. My office will always provide such a forum. I am extremely well versed in the Hispanic culture and language. I strongly believe, this will lend well to the law enforcement community and Hispanic families in time of need.
I will work tirelessly, to educate our youth on the dangers of risky behavior. I will work side by side with law enforcement to deliver a strong message, " Death is Forever"!
I will also work with law enforcement to keep prescription narcotic drugs off our streets and out of our schools. I have a successful background in providing seminars within the school systems for such purposes. To date, there is no oversight that would protect Hospice Health Care providers who are charged with the disposal of these drugs post death. Unlike the current Coroner, my office would be dedicated to protecting these health care workers from any fraudulent charges of drug theft or malfeasance.
This year, this election cycle, vote for a proven professional. Vote for CHANGE. The future is now immediately upon us! I best represent this County's need to meet the challenges directly ahead. Please feel to contact me directly at mtnmortician@yahoo.com. I also invite you to visit http://www.askthemorticianonline.com/ At this web sight, I gladly answer any questions you might have regarding funeral services, burial and cremation.

It was good seeing you at the Township Association meeting last night. I found that the evening not only gave us, as candidate, the opportunity to introduce ourselves to everyone there, but also to once again witness the real problems with those currently in positions of county government.
